Motorized Custom Window Treatments Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston

Window Shade Motorization - Austin, TXAt one time, remote controlled cars were seen as quite a novelty. Who could imagine controlling the movements of a small car from several feet away by simply moving levers and turning a wheel? The idea was advanced and adapted for use in televisions and that caught on like a wild fire. Now the latest use of remotes and motor operations has popped up in window treatments.

Various window treatments such as blinds, exterior shades and even security shades offer numerous benefits. These items can keep out excessive light and protect furniture and flooring from harmful UV rays. Some of these window treatments can also provide privacy to your home or office as well. However, there has always been one big hassle to any of these treatments: the constant lowering and raising through manual methods.

Consider a corporate board room that has windows from floor to ceiling. The typical ceiling height in a board room ranges from 10 to 12 feet. For a large stretch of windows, raising a bunch of shades or blinds could take considerable time. The same thing could be said about artistic blinds in a home that has 20 or more windows on one side of the home. Walking in and out of rooms, lowering or raising the blinds to fit the situation could be a big chore.

Technology has now come to the rescue. Simple wall switches can be used to raise or lower the blinds. Depending on the locations of the different window treatments it is possible to have several switches so that different blinds can remain in their position while others are raised or lowered.

But switches are not the only nifty gadget available for shades and blinds. Remote controls, similar to the devices used for televisions, are now available as well. The remote can be used to pick and choose the specific treatment that needs to be changed. Or the entire group can be moved simultaneously.

Any type of window treatment that can be opened, raised or lowered can include a motorized option. This provides a tremendous amount of convenience to people and also increases the enjoyment they receive from their window dressings.
